- The Lathe of Heaven
We live in too progressive of a society to suppress such a beautiful thing like love. I know the argument against it and I come from the background of faith, but the thing that continually rings in my heart is that we as human beings have the capacity to love and should see that as a duty to unconditionally implement that in our daily lives. You can argue that it’s icky, it’s immoral, or that your word says differently. I can respect someone who is trying to stand by what they believe. But when that same book tells you to not judge, not pick the speck of dust out of your neighbor’s eye until you pull the plank from your own, and that love is not rude, self seeking and knows no wrongs… then belittling a thing like true love will never sit right with me.
Let love be love.
